I've tried every color of the rainbow: White, red, brown, black (!). I've learned a lot from this. For example that white hair to brown hair makes hair green.. The most important lesson I've learned is that blond is the best color for me. A light ashy blond. I realize that every time I visit my colorist. The big disadvantage is though that the color fades fast. And I don't have the time and money to visit the colorist every three weeks. So there are two opties: Color my hair darker (more like my own color) or color it at home.
That last option is the best, even though it kinda scares me. Cause let's be honest, I don't have the skills and resources to fix a hair-disaster. As an unexperienced colorist I decided to go for a quality brand, so I choose L'Oréal Paris. And so I got the know the best product for me: The color extender from the L'Oréal Préférence line.
The name explains it all, the color extender makes sure your hair color lasts longer, about 8 weeks. How? When you color starts to faed (about 3 weeks after coloring it), you apply the extender to wet hair. Rinse it out after 5-10 minutes. Easy as that! You can use it every time your color starts to fade.
Meaning: no hair-disasters at home and no expensive visit to the colorist. And very important to me: blond hair forever!
